Dubailand, located in the United Arab Emirates, will be the world’s largest entertainment complex at 3 billion square feet in size. In comparison, that is over 13 times the size of Disneyland Paris.
Dubailand will have seven major areas of attraction including theme parks, culture & art, science & planetariums, sports & sports academies, wellbeing & health, shopping & retail and resorts & hotels.
Included in the theme park category will be the Dubai Wheel (larger than the London Eye), Aqua Dunya (which will become one of the world’s largest water parks), Dreamworks animation, Hit Entertainment (children focussed) and Six Flags.
And there is SO much more, it’s even hard to list but one of the highlights to me is the 40 million square foot Falcon City of Wonders which will have full size replicas of the Eiffel Tower, the Pyramids, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon and the Taj Mahal. There will also be a Pharaoes Theme Park . Hmm, I wonder if Steve Martin will make an appearance there.
Dubailand will have sports including golf, motor sports and equestrian, science, beauty, resorts & hotels, and shopping. Simply amazing. And including in that golf is “The Tiger Woods” residential community and golf course, the first course ever to be designed by its infamous namesake which will open in the fall of 2009.
The unbelievably ambitious theme park is set to open in 2010 expects to draw 40,000 tourists per day by the end of 2015.
